Thank you to all the students that came to school on high-attendance day! Unfortunately Mrs. Muravchick didn’t get a pie in her face!  Thank you to all the donations that we have received for the candy bucket! The students love being rewarded for good behavior and doing homework.

  1. Thank you to all the students that came to school on high-attendance day! Unfortunately Mrs. Muravchick didn’t get a pie in her face!  Thank you to all the donations that we have received for the candy bucket! The students love being rewarded for good behavior and doing homework. • Field Trip to Evan’s Orchard Thurs. Oct. 3/T-Shirts • Please don’t forget all permission slips and money need to be turned in for the field trip! We would love to have as many chaperones as possible. So, mark your calendar and try to come along. Remember, you must have a back-ground check form completed from our office.  • We are going to order t-shirts for all of our class. We use these t-shirts throughout the year for field trips, special days, field day etc. • *Literacy News: Please continue to make sure that you are reading with your child each night, practicing letter identification, letter sounds and sight words. • *Rhyming Words: We have been working on rhyming words during reading and phonics time each day. I ask that you please practice these at home or in the car. Look outside while driving and see if you can name an object you see and have your child tell you a word that rhymes with the object. • *Writing News :We are continuing our work on writing simple sentences. This is such an important beginning skill for all students. Important Dates: Cookie Dough Fundraiser: Sept. 16-27 Sept. 23 – McDonalds Night 5-7 East Side Oct. 1: Fall School Pictures, field trip and t-shirt money due Oct. 3: Field Trip to Evan’s orchard Oct. 7-11: Fall Break Oct. 25: Fall Festival Week of Sept. 23rd Math News We just finished our chapter test on numbers to 10. Please continue to use the materials that I sent home and practice numbers to 10 with your child. Numbers will be a concept that we work on all year long in the classroom. We are now moving onto a new chapter on length, height and weight. This is a fun chapter that the students seem to enjoy!
