  2. Key Facts • Date Chapter Started – 1993 or 17 years • Total Members – 141 this is down from 2009 by 2 which was 143 members • Continue to have a strong bank balance, as of 10/31/09 - $5,709. We report financials quarterly to the MSMA National Treasurer. (For details on income & expense see Steve or myself). • Very strong and supportive local chapter and mailing community.   5. 2010 Events • January - Hosted tour at Action Mailing. Over 55 in attendance. • February - Held Round Table at Thomson Reuters. The topics presented were, Industry Certifications, Dare to Lead, Controlling what you can instead of what you can’t, and Postage Funds Management, w/ over 30 registered. • July - Annual Boat Cruise on the Mississippi River for the first time w/60 registered attendees. • September - Hosted tour of Target Field and Happy Hour networking at the Loon Café with over 40 members and guests in attendance. • November - Annual meeting with Michael Foley from Clarity Central presents a program titled, “Losing the Junk in your Trunk, The Art of Living”. Also, MSMA-MN President DelRae Brockton presents the status of our chapter. Edina Country Club

What 2011 Brings • We’ve already been focusing on 2011 events. • February – Tour of Expedite • April/May Joint Round table w/ MMA • July Annual Boat Cruise Lake Minnetonka • Election yr. activities • Oct MMF Booth/speaker/sponsorship • Nov Annual Meeting • Seek interest to form a local CMDSM & CMDSS study group • We are committed to find ways to enhance member benefits.   8. 2011 Website Enhancements • Member forum/message board • Local Career Opportunities Page • Membership Renewal Invoicing-PayPal • Potential for annual with pro-rated dues • Back-up of archives on website server • Redesign/Refresh layout and navigation

National Accomplishments • Focused on education, 2 certification and the MDC • 91 individuals have successfully completed the MDC exam • Webinars for study group, Nat'l mtg, & Regional/Chapter presidents • Linda Henry, Chuck Zeikle, & Mary Wells stepping down • MAILCOM will be in Washington DC Feb 28 – March 1st • Communication through Blast emails • Chapters with 10 or more members at MAILCOM will be recognized and have reserved tables at the award luncheon & keynote address • 1140 MSMA members nationally Edina Country Club

Nat’l Changes & vision • Newly elected National Board begins in January • Karen Cornelious, CMDSM National President • We the People – it’s all about you the membership • Many hands make light work, committees • Knowledge becomes responsibility • We’re all ambassadors to broaden our boarders • Two way street for communication • Two new positions – Webmaster & Data master Edina Country Club
