  10. Facilities & Operations Review • New roof on Education Building • Recharged fire extinguishers so that they now work (!) • Repairs to kitchen equipment • Repaired door locking mechanisms to protect premises • Regulated exterior light timers to reduce electric costs

  11. Facilities & Operations Review • Reviewed security and key systems – more work on this to come. • Relocated church safe for better security and ease of use. • Added new gravel to low-lying areas in unpaved parking spaces • In process of clean up, clear out, reorganize and create inventory

Finance Committee • Members: • Sanford Livingston, Chair, Jon Eccleston, Garnet McQuitty, Lynda Zwack, Debi Morris, Steve Olsen, Elke Moritz, Ouida Joi Cooper-Rodriguez • Mission/Purpose Statement: • Our purpose is to oversee the finances and make recommendations to the Core Council to help strengthen and heal/reveal the financial health and financial consciousness of OCSL.

Finance Committee • Financial Committee Goals: • Review monthly financial reports • Help balance the budget • Develop a multi-pronged financial development plan, including new fundraising processes • Advise and make recommendations/suggestions to the Core Council, with clear reporting to the Core Council

  16. Finance Committee • Goals for Our Community: • Help educate/inform the community regarding intentional giving • Bring financial spiritual principles more into our community • Transparency • Encourage volunteerism • Building unity by transparency and trust

  19. THE KITCHEN – DOING WELL! January February Income: $1,356 $1,642 Expense: $1,967$ 468 $ (611) $ 1,174 • $563 in the black for two months • Feed over 200 people per Sunday • Average cost per person: $6.08 • Thank YOU dedicated volunteers!

  20. 2014 BUDGET - PROJECTED • Income: $501,103 • Expenses: $460,518 • Personnel: $156, 021 • Net Profit $12, 575 • To meet expenses we require $42,000a month: $10,000+ each Sunday on average. • So far in 2014 our Sunday offerings and tithes have averaged $30,000 per month.

  21. 2014 BUDGET - PROJECTED • Does not include designated funds • Does includes $$ for interim minister, Rev. Carol Carnes • Does not include salary for new senior minister, who will not be hired before third quarter. • Will re-forecast income/expenses and strategies within the next month.
