  3. This created territories of Kansas and Nebraska .This opened new lands for settlement and had the effect of repealing the Missouri Compromise.

  4. The Missouri Compromise was passed in 1820 between pro-slavery factors.

  5. The main purpose of Kansas-Nebraska Act was to open up thousands of farms and make a Midwestern Transcontinental Railroad.
