  3. Economy The economy of the United States is the worlds largest national mixed economy that has a strong stable overall GDP growth rate, a low unemployment rate, and high levels of research and capital investment.

  4. Language 82.1% of the United States population speaks English. 10.7% of the Untied States population speaks Spanish. 3.8% of the United States population speaks Indo-European. 2.7% of the United States population speaks Asian and Pacific Island.

  5. Religion / Culture Ethnic Make-up: 81.7% White, 12.9% Black, 4.2% Asian, 1% Amerindian and Alaska Native, 0.2% Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander Religions: 52% Protestant, 24% Roman Catholic, 2% Mormon, 1% Jewish, 1% Muslim, 10% other, and 10% none

  6. Military The United States has a strong tradition of civilian control of the military. The President is the overall head of the military and helps form the military policy with the DoD, United States Department of Defense. The DoD is a federal executive department, acting as the principal organ that carries out the military policy.

  7. The Union of Soviet Socialists Republics

  8. Economy The Soviet Unions Economy is based on system that receives it money from state ownership of the means of production, collective farming, industrial manufacturing and centralized administrative planning.

  9. Language Russia has its own language that is spread throughout the entire country. But they also have many other common languages: Indo-European, Turkic, Finno-Ugric and Samoyedic, Ibero-Caucasian, Mongolic, Tungus-Manchu, and Paleosiberia.

  10. Religion / Culture Russia has a diverse variety of religion: Protestant, Islamic, Judaism, Catholic, and Orthodox.

  11. Military The 1917 October revolution brought power to the Bolsheviks. The new government formed the Red Army to various enemies in the Russian Civil War. This all started the development of the Soviet Union military.
