  1. Gardens for humanity Kendall Isaacson

  2. What we do. • We build gardens to provide a fun, place where for community members can learn about the earth and how to take care of it. We have given kids in urban cities a safe, fun and educational place to be when there homes aren’t an option.

  3. How we do it. • Raised $50,000 with 3 events. • Currently I am the only worker and work in my basement, the garden is in my backyard. This is not a good situations as I cant get out into the community or provide the community a garden during winter months.

  4. What can we do? • After exploring many new options I came up with these 5 options. • 1.Hire (2) staff member’s part time. • 2. Hire (1) staff member full time and (1) part time. • 3. Build a greenhouse with built in office space. • 4. Rent a greenhouse with built in office space. • 5. Remain the same.

  5. My recommendation. • In my opinion I think we should Hire (1) part-time worker and (1) full-time worker. I also think we should build a custom greenhouse using Sunnyside greenhouses. • For this we would ask for 50,000$.

  6. How should we do it? • In order to succeed the next 3 steps would be: • 1. Consult Sunnyside greenhouses and create a construction plan. • 2. Start construction. • 3. Interview and hire two staff members.

  7. In conclusion. • Funding us will add to the community in numerous ways. We can provide a safe place for children to learn and grow into valuable community members.
