Update • Linac SBK: Working towards CDR (in June, July) • Linac LN:Working with PriTel on a solution • Linac Modulator: Build up of 25 cell – (still communicating with SLAC – finishing up some details) • Linac Beam Physics: No news • Injector: Planning on installing dimpled cathode on source A this week for testing • Booster Beam: • Cogging software work continues – low intensity studies continue • Booster optics software – New tune control works – still working on ACNET software/control • Booster Longitudinal dampers - Did some transfer studies/ Still working on firmware • Booster RF • Booster RF5 has had downstream window cut off – new ceramic window may be put on toady • Perpendicular Cavities – talk today • RF13 being prepared for testing ( alignment fixtures being installed today) by weekend should be running (Install in mid-July) • Cavity 20 – on mill • Booster Anode Supplies – update talk today • Booster Bias supplies – Third supply delivered to MI-60 and starting dis-assembly work (Monday), Bias 1 in test stand, Bias 2 waiting TS • Booster Shielding – Safety Going over data…. • Booster BPM work – talk today • Booster Absorber/Kicker – Pulsing continues in gallery with three loads, short kickers being built • Design of insert sleeve is under investigation, New offset S12 bellows being designed

  4. RF 5 removed for repair Estimated Install date Cavity RF 2 being prepared for testing Cavity RF 5 ready for new window - today • Cavities Refurbishment • 10 of 19 cavities have been refurbished

Recent PIP Budget/News • Budget Issues: • Budget meeting today with Ann Nestander • General: P5 report out – PIP II is still the plan • Meetings to discuss transition PIP to PIP II underway • PMG – Next Tuesday • Lots of shutdown talk – No word • Update of RLS – Some Booster items remain • Post-Doc position for PIP – Preparing visit
