Update General Info • Booster Beam: Running at reduced levels – need more RF! • Studies are underway: • Apertures / Orbit Smoothing will continue – more magnet moves in future • Optics correction for the next two weeks • Booster SS: Stations are operating – controls / shunt problems • PIP accounts should no longer be used • Booster RF cavity rework – RF1 work nearly done – testing? • Cavity from RF15 removed from tunnel yesterday – transportation today? • Spare cavity work? • Booster RF Cavity has an RF leak and will likely be removed for repair • Will swap with RF 1 • Booster RF 8 may also have a RF leak, but is operating for the moment • We will have 17/19 cavities after the next swap (up from 16) – may allow high-intensity • Booster Ferrites • Low Frequency tester – still being modified? • mu=20 cores have been ordered • RFQ – still waiting on trim / 2nd source? • HLRF – planning site visit at vendor • Linac Modulator – waiting for 9 cell components to arrive – talk next week • Booster Shielding – Scans have been written up, will be revised and transmitted to ES&H • MI Startup: no change from last time – June 1st Startup comments (Fernanda, Todd, Mary)

Upcoming Talks Future Meetings: Apr. 3: • Trevor Butler - Linac Modulator Prototyping • Yuri Alexahin - Plans for Booster Studies (transition crossing, synchro-betatron coupling) To be Scheduled: • Dave Augustine - Vacuum Installations Finished and in Planning • Jean-Paul Carneiro - TraceWin 3D Simulations of the Fermilab Linac • Bill Pellico - Loss Test Scans for Shielding Assessment • John Reid - Solid State Installation - Final Report

Upcoming • Reports • Update of PIP Design Report – Yearly update work • PMG & Quarterly report in April • March status update requests issued yesterday • Budget Issues – • Have not heard of any new impacts from lab budget • Still struggling with Additional Overhead Cost – no resolution yet • Working to address cost of spares - Please use the E-Log to put general work in progress updates/photos – weekly would be nice – if progress is being made in task
