  3. School’s Schedule • Everyday we have different classes. One day we have odd periods (1,3,5,7) and the next day we have even periods(2,4,6,8). Regular day schedule Period 1 -or- Period 2 8:00 AM 9:20 AM(80 min) Advisory 9:26 AM 9:51 AM(25 min) Period 3 -or- Period 4 9:57 AM11:17 AM(80 min) Nutrition 11:17 AM11:37 AM(20 min) Period 5 -or- Period 6 11:43 AM 1:03 PM(80 min) Lunch 1:03 PM1:38 PM(35 min) Period 7 -or- Period 8 1:44 PM 3:04 PM(80 min)

  4. Common Classes • Everyone takes English and math every year. • Students take social studies in grades 10-12. • Students take science in grades 9-11. • All students take at least two years of a foreign language, either French or Spanish. • All students take elective classes like speech, drama, art or music.

  5. Academies • We have three career academies at Foshay for grades 10-12: • Technology • Finance • Health • We are in the Technology Academy!

  6. Dress Policy • High school students don’t have to wear uniforms. High school gets to dress appropriate and freely to be able to express who they are and to distinguish from high school to middle school.

  7. Lunch Application • If a student turns in a lunch application they get free food and can get free supplies which also helps the school with money. • The lunch applications ask about your family income.

  8. Nutrition and Lunch Breaks • Nutrition is a time for students to eat breakfast and lunch is a time for students to eat lunch. Most high school students just hang out, play sports, or get the opportunity to do their homework if they have not done it.
