  3. Gifted Testing • Testing for grades 3-5 will be at the district office in September and January. The testing will be on a Saturday and is from 9:00-12:00. • Testing for K-2 will be in October and March and will be at the school.

  4. Gifted and High Achieving Students at Lomas • Title 1 schools includehigh achieving students to participate in Gifted Curriculum. • The placement for high achieving students is fluid and not permanent. The best place-ment is a classroom that a student can succeed in and be happy. The best place-ment is not always the gifted classroom.

K-3 Cluster classes • There is ongoing professional development for the cluster teacher. • Besides myself there will be an additional gifted teacher who will be in contact with your child’s classroom teacher to provide additional support. • This model has been shown to improve student • achievement across all academic levels. • Differentiated Learning Plans provide a framework for instruction for your child.
