Boebinger, Florida State University, DMR 0654118Center for Integrating Research and Learning, Director – Pat Dixon • Programs • RET Program –each summer ~14 teachers participate • Scientist/teacher mentor relationship is effective in increasing science teachers’ content knowledge and confidence in teaching science in K-12 classrooms. • 2. REU program – each summer ~20 undergraduates participate • Students come from range of colleges including HBCUs, Research 1 Universities, and smaller teaching colleges • 3. Outreach - ~10,000 K-12 students, teachers, and members of the general public served annually. Includes classroom outreach, Teacher workshops, middle school and high school internships, summer camps. REU • CIRL staff track REU students trajectories within field • 3.
