  2. 首先，我们代表所有的学生感谢您对于新生所提供的帮助，我主耶稣基督曾教导我们说：“凡为我的名接待一个像这小孩子的，就是接待我。”（马太福音 18：5） • Firstly, we thank you on behalf of all the UTD new students; we appreciate your help for the new students. Our Lord Jesus Christ has taught us:” Whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.” (Matthew 18:5)

  3. 中国留学生可能对于政治问题、领土问题比较敏感；同时，由于他们从小接受无神论的教育，所以可能会对基督教有戒备，甚至抵触的心理。请记得，我们是与神同工，我们的目的是为了荣耀我们的神，让更多的人可以有机会接触、认识我们的神，所以希望不要让属世的东西影响迎新事工的圣洁。中国留学生可能对于政治问题、领土问题比较敏感；同时，由于他们从小接受无神论的教育，所以可能会对基督教有戒备，甚至抵触的心理。请记得，我们是与神同工，我们的目的是为了荣耀我们的神，让更多的人可以有机会接触、认识我们的神，所以希望不要让属世的东西影响迎新事工的圣洁。

  4. The Chinese students may be sensitive to political or territorial issues. As they received the education of atheism, they may be not easy to accept God or Jesus Christ immediately. Remember, we’re the co-worker in Jesus’ name. Our responsibility is to glorify our God.Don’t let the worldly business stain the sanctity of the ministry.

  5. 有所为 • 如果您负责接机：请您尽量提前（建议提前一周）和所接学生及所要送往的临时家庭取得联系，确保航班号和临时家庭的地址准确无误。另外建议您在接机前发送提醒信息给学生或者临时家庭。您只需要接为您指定的新生，不需多接，以免影响中国学生会（FACSS）的统一安排。 • 如果您负责提供临时住处：请您为新生提供必要的休息的空间及用品。如果可能，请为他们提供必要的食物（早餐和晚餐）。新生的最终住处将由新生自行联系。根据中国学生会（FACSS）和新生达成的一致意见，在临时家庭的居住时间不超过7天

  6. 有所为 • 如果您负责接送学生往返于UTD和临时家庭。请您在白天上班的时候将学生送到UTD校园，在那里他们将会办理入学注册的相关手续和银行卡、手机卡等事宜，您只须在下班或约定好的时间将新生从UTD校园送回他们的临时家庭即可。

  7. 有所不为 • 请您不要和学生的交流中涉及政治等敏感话题。 • 请您不要和学生推销、建议购买保险、购买汽车等商业活动或广告。 • 请您在和学生的沟通中循序渐进地向他们传播福音，在传福音的过程中不过分灌输。

  8. Dos • If you are responsible for airport pickup. Please contact the student you will pick up and the temporary family, and make sure that the flight No. and temp family address are correct (suggest a week before the student departures from China). We strongly recommend you to send them a reminder one day or two days ahead. You just need pick up the students you are supposed to pick up, please don’t pick up other students in case of disarranging the arrangement of FACSS (Friendship Association of Chinese Students and Scholars).

  9. Dos • If you are responsible for temporary family. Please provide the sleeping space and necessities for those students. If possible, please provide them breakfast and dinner. The students will find the place to live by themselves. According to the agreement between FACSS and new students, new students cannot live in temporary family for more than 7 days.

  10. Dos • If you are responsible for transporting students between UTD and temporary family. Please drop the students at UTD campus in daytime. They will do the registration procedure and set up bank and mobile phone accounts by themselves. You just need to pick them up from UTD to their temporary family when you come off work or the time you appointed.

  11. Don’ts • Please don’t discuss those sensitive issues such as political and territorial with the new students. • Please don’t do business or advertisement with students such as the sale promotion, selling insurance,or used-cars. • Please preach the gospel to the new students step by step. Please don’t push them too much.
