  5. Educreations and Tellagami http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEkRJ7PlLms
  6. Tellagami Students’ samples https://tellagami.com/gami/1W0YQI/ https://tellagami.com/gami/2J0M9S/ How it works: Students create an avatar and manipulate the background to create a short video clip . They can type a script or record their own voices to make the avatar speak. My observations: using animation with students has a profound effect on their participation level. Learners feel free to express when they have the opportunity to separate themselves from the physical world Students who are usually introverted tend to get more engaged with animation. It makes them feel safer and are more willing to participate in class.
  7. Tellagami (disadvantages) Only one avatar at the time can be used Learning outcomes must be clearly specified, so students have a clear goal in mind when making the avatar speak (they don’t get lost just in the “fun” of the activity). Video clips are limited to 30 seconds (for longer videos, video clips can be saved in the camera and combined using iMovie).
  8. Narrable: Create an Audio Slideshow Teacher can create a free account (for one year) and add students. Students tell a short story by adding narration to pictures they have taken or found online. Projects can be shared via email, Facebook, or by embedding them into a blog. Audio can be recorded through a computer’s microphone or by calling into a Narrable’s access phone number. They can also upload an audio recording that is stored on the computer. Student samples Travel Unit (past tense-Spanish 10) https://narrable.com/#narrables/gpibss/coverImage https://narrable.com/#narrables/ry2ct2/coverImage (for a complete rubric and description of this assignment, please refer to the WebQuest : http://zunal.com/webquest.php?w=223589
  9. Narrable (cons) It allows only one voice recording per page Audio Slideshows cannot be exported. Students can collaborate on slideshows only with paid accounts. Currently, there is no mobile app for Narrable.
  10. Audioboo(http://audioboo.fm AudioBoo is a website and app with which sound files can be created, posted and shared Audioboo allows students to create, collaborate, publish and interact with peers, experts and other audiences. Audioboo can be used for any curriculum area. Students can create Boos to display any knowledge or learning. Completed Boos can be embedded into aClass Blog, or shared by e-mail, Facebook, Twitter or Google+
