  12. Commercial based Youth Circus TRADITIONAL CIRCUS Venues WookeyHole Circus, founded by Gerry Cottle. Head Trainer, Willie Ramsay was a student of Reg Bolton and Aerial Trainer, Leslie Gardner taught at the Circus Space. The students attend weekly training sessions and perform every weekend in the Wookey Hole Circus Theatre space www.wookey.co.uk The Academy of Circus Arts Britain’s Leading Circus School, founded by Martin Burton, Zippo the Clown, the Academy of Circus Arts offers a full-time residential training course, performing most weekends at festivals in England between April and August www.zipposcircus.co.uk Wookey Hole Circus

UK YOUTH CIRCUS NETWORK Founded on World Circus Day 16th April 2011 34 UK Youth Circus Member Organisations Constituted on 8th May 2012 Mission Statement To enhance the development of youth circus by building strong links between the Youth Circus Sector in the UK, creating open, transparent and meaningful dialogue. UKYN aims to support young people to realise their aims and objectives for youth circus in the UK through a UKYCN Youth Forum First UKYCN Festival 12-15th February 2012 90 Participants & 18 Youth Circus Groups in attendance First meeting of the UKYCN Youth Forum First UK Youth Circus Network Festival 2012
