Overview • Many carryover styles from Spring trends • Many boutiques had only small sale sections • More neutrals in Seattle boutiques verses the chain stores • Seattle Boutiques are more about single great pieces, verses overall trends • Lots of representation of small local designers • Much larger women’s boutique presence in Seattle

  4. Loose Shapes • Shapes on tops and dresses were loose and flowy • Interesting fabric shapes and a lot of asymmetry Show Pony Merge Merge Ian

  5. Unusual Necklines • Many boutiques are offering dresses with unusual necklines • While the silhouettes remain traditional, the detailing at the neck varies greatly Veridis Veridis Merge Nube Green

  15. The Denim Look • Denim/denim looking tops and bottoms remain a large trend for men this summer • Large sections in men’s areas devoted entirely to denim pants and denim inspired tops Ian Ian Veridis Red Light

  17. Oh Seattle • It is the 50th anniversary of the World’s Fair, and the Space Needle in Seattle, so there are bits of representation found in the shops Nube Green Ian Blackbird

  18. Good Button Ups • Men’s shirting details included short collars and placket fronts • It was a good mix of stripes and plaids in the stores Veridis Zebra Club Ian
