  1. Know About the Muladhara Chakra Muladhara chakra, which is also called the root chakra, is another of the seven chakras. Being the root chakra, it is considered the foundation of what makes up the body’s physical structure. The root chakra is below the spine and between the genitals and the anus. This chakra’s essence is to provide balance, energy, confidence, strength, and stability to the person. Thus when the chakra is aligned, you can enjoy all these and many more benefits. Understand that the root chakra is the chakra that creates the foundation for opening the chakras above.

  2. The root chakra relates to whatever provides stability and sustenance in your life. This includes basic life support like food, shelter, and water. It also extends to your emotional needs, which affect your mental health and emotional wellness. Therefore, the root chakra affects both your physical and mental health. If not balanced, you are likely to live a miserable life without joy, love, or good health. The two major characteristics of the root chakra are the earth element and the color red. The energies in the root chakra come from below. Therefore, there is a strong connection between the body and the earth. This is the support we get, exemplified in the strength and positivity that keep us living the best and most comfortable life. The red color is interpreted as strength and vitality. Imbalanced root chakra This happens when the chakra is blocked, and you cannot harness the power and strength to build positive energies within you. You are likely to experience mental breakdown and frustration, which will affect your mental, emotional, and physical health. Below are some symptoms that show imbalanced root chakra: •Feeling disconnected and isolated from the rest of the world. •Experiencing panic attacks, chronic worries, and anxiety. •Digestive disorders. •Restlessness and insomnia. •Untraceable body aches and pains.

  3. Balancing The Root Chakra •Meditation This not only connects you to a higher spiritual realm, but it also serves as a support for you. It gives you a sense of independence and self- awareness since you will believe the world cannot give you what you want. The simple way to practice this meditation is to focus on your nose’s tip because the smell is the sense organ that relates to the first chakra. You will use this to align the root to balance your root chakra. •Sounds, Colors, Gems, And Asanas, These are other ways you can use to open a blocked root chakra. They all help bring balance to the chakra. Chanting or toning sounds create vibrations that work the cells in synchronistic harmony. Colors especially red like bloodstone and garnet, can also create strong alignment. And yoga exercises like malasana, padmasana, and bandha yoga can facilitate strength and energy to the chakra.

  4. •Positive Affirmations You can also leverage positive self-talk to encourage yourself and build strength and courage from within. This helps you replace negative thought patterns with healthy ones. Energies flow when the root chakra is awakened. You will be able to build strong instincts and improve your confidence and self-worth. It is one powerful way to build positivity in and around your life. When the chakra is balanced, you can harness courage and strength to go through tough times.
