  9. The Application Process • Last year’s system will be replaced for the 2014/15 recruitment round by a successor to the GTTR: the ‘UCAS - Teacher Training’ application system, which will handle applications for School Direct and mainstream routes, providing a single admission process for postgraduate ITT. • Applicants apply directly to School Direct partnerships and search by the location of all schools in the partnership. • Applicants are able to make three choices in Apply 1 (the initial application stage), which will be processed simultaneously. • If unsuccessful the applicant can move into Apply 2, where they can apply for any course that has vacancies – at this point they will apply for courses sequentially. • There will be a 40 working day window for all providers from the time the application is submitted to offering a place, which will be enforced by the system. • Applicants must have passed the professional skills tests in numeracy and literacy before beginning training.
