Energy efficiency in transport and water sectors. Energy-water nexus Low carbon development
  4. Energy Access Sustainable Energy for All TA Facility - $15 million focused on AFR, SAR and EAP - scaling up energy access programs Africa Renewable Energy and Access Program (with AFTEG) Partnership with Cities Alliance on energy access for the peri-urban/urban poor Global knowledge products: Defining and measuring access to energy SE4ALL Global Tracking Framework – electricity access Periodic State of Energy Access Report

Clean Energy Global Geothermal Development Plan About a dozen test drilling projects to be identified and developed ($5 million) Working with bilaterals and multilaterals to raise $500 million for projects Renewable Energy Resource Mapping ($12 million program getting underway in 9 countries) Enhancing WBG capacity Operational Support to regions for RE scale-up strategies: Concentrated Solar Power RE staff training program with IFC and online library of RE-related operational documents Grid integration (smart grids, integration of RE resources into grids) Climate resilience in energy sector

Special Initiative – SIDS DOCK Program Support to Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Current project pipeline of US$5.5 million supporting geothermal (Dominica), grid codes (Mauritius and Seychelles), regional regulator in Caribbean, EE in Cape Verde and Sao Tome and Principe Additional pledged funding of $9 million

Energy Efficient Cities Initiative Global deployment of city energy diagnostic tool (TRACE) in AFR, EAP, ECA, LCR and SAR Knowledge Management: training program for policy makers on urban transport Scale up operational support for EE components in municipal water/ wastewater and urban transport lending New program: $10 million in FY14-16 for TA and resource mobilization in targeted cities to include energy efficiency in urban planning and investment programs

Energy Strategies and Assessments Program Energy Subsidy Reform: Technical Assistance to countries for designing and implementing subsidy reform $15 million program with focus on fossil fuel subsidies Multi-sectoral: energy, macro-economic, social protection, communications Gender and Energy: Evidence-base to demonstrate that gender equality improves development outcomes
  9. Results-Based Funding Global work Economic analysis of opportunities for RBF Learning from RBF approaches in other sectors Project development funding and technical support: clean cooking solutions in Indonesia and Uganda
