  4. 好 [hǎo, hào] 好 has two pronunciations which have different meanings and functions. • When 好 is used as an adjective which means “good,” the pronunciation is [hǎo], e.g.: 好吃,好看,你好

  5. 好 [hǎo, hào] • When 好 is used as a verb, it is pronounced as [hào], e.g.: 好客,好吃,好美,爱好

  6. Translate using 热情 • She warmly invited me to attend the ball party. 她热情地邀请我去参加舞会。 • He is always very warm-hearted towards his friends. 他对朋友一直非常热情。

  7. Translate using 热情 • Children gave us an enthusiastic reception at the airport. 孩子们在机场热情地欢迎我们。

  8. Translate using 好客 • They were still as warm-hearted and hospitable as before. 他们还是跟以前一样非常热情、好客。 • The congenial landlord helped us put away our baggage. 好客的房东帮我们放好行李。
