Aims of a communicative course To empower learners to use the language accurately and fluently in all situations Help learners participate in real-time communication Familiarize learners with all aspects of language learning: receptive skills of listening and reading creative skills of speaking and writing social skills of effective communication Focus is on ‘whole language acquisition’ Introduce the learner to the reality of English as a global language
