  16. 16 2.Cheaper nuclear fuels cost Among all the costs of nuclear generation, the cost of fuels occupy with a lower proportion.

  18. 18 4.Reduce our reliance on fossil fuels Fossil fuels is ranked the top 3 of global energy consumption (87.04% of the world's energy consumption)

  19. 19 What we have done after 311: Set up a new department to regulate the nuclear power generation. Limit the exports of some products in the areas affected. Install a new emergency generator. Set the emergency evacuation orders.

  21. 21 1. The usednuclear fuel is radioactive . Itmust be sealed up and buried for thousands of years to allow the radioactivity to die away.

  22. 22 2. For all that time it must be kept safe from accidents. This is difficult.

  23. 23 3. Comes with an enormous price because it takes strenuous researches, comprehensive safety facilities and manpower. $ $

  24. 24 4. Nuclear power generation will produce a lot of heat . This needs plenty of water to cool it down . The sea water temperature will increase and thus the growth of algae, resulting in large amounts of carbon dioxide and the marine life will die.

  30. 30 Food Contamination -Japanese didn’t have food to eat -Export income dropped

  31. 31 Residents should be alienated from the nuclear disaster area. ->They don’t have a place to live さようなら! (GOODBYE)

  35. 35 Conclusion From the project, we found that: • People concern more about the development of nuclear power • The development of nuclear power is controversial • Still a lot of nuclear power plants • Nuclear is not safe enough

  36. 36 We think: • Tidal, wind or solar powers can be used to guarantee people’s safety. • Less electricity should be consumed, fuel used for generating electricity can be reduced. • Safety are more important.
