Crowley High School’s Vision for C.I.S. • Crowley HSMr. Gillies/Ms. MontgomeryAlfiThomas The current concerns for CHS surround social media, female student violence, and self-esteem deficiencies. CIS has been very helpful and proactive in addressing student needs, specifically student services needs (i.e. insurance, food stamps, etc.). Ms. Montgomery would like CIS to focus on literacy by possibly doing a literature circle and connect books with movies as an incentive.   5. North Crowley 9th Grade Vision for C.I.S. • North Crowley 9thMr. MoffettCurrently OpenMr. Moffett meets with Ms. Dorsey regularly to talk about campus/student needs. Ms. Dorsey is quick to respond to these needs and is quick to begin working with students. Mr. Moffett stated his appreciation of her ability to build relationships with parents, her desire is to stay tied in to the school community, and is excited about the opportunity to begin mentoring a group of males on campus, which Ms. Dorsey set up for Mr. Moffett.   6. C.L.C. Vision for C.I.S. • CLCMr. Corn/Ms. NealKatrina Hall. Mr. Corn is appreciative of Ms. Hall's presence on campus and her work with the CLC students. He reports that Ms. Hall meets with students to review their credit progress and regularly helps provide resources so the students can meet their basic needs--a high need at this campus. Corn and Tollison discussed a potential backpack program at CLC, should others on campus also see this as a need. Corn expressed that he fears he may even over-use Ms. Hall as she is an integral member of the CLC team and would like her to continue meeting student needs in the same manner in the future.   7. H.F.S. vision for C.I.S. • HF StevensMs. BuckhaltonAllison Etchison Ms. Buckhalton and both academic counselors attended the meeting. Ms. Buckhalton and the counselors were appreciative of Ms. Etchison's work with the Powerhouse funds and efforts in working with the counselors to meet student needs through fundraisers, groups, and academics. Ms. Buckhalton is interested in an SEL curriculum and asked for CIS assistance in finding one (Tollison sent Buckhalton 3 possible curriculums on 1/30/2018 via email). Additionally, Ms. Buckhalton is interested in Ms. Etchison completing additional goal setting work, parent engagement, preventative services, and community resources. She is also interested in Ms. Etchison having an intern next year to help assist more students. (meeting on 1/25/2018) Follow-up meeting occurred after a report of concerns by Buckhalton; Buckhalton, Tollison and supervisor Alecia Rodriguez discussed how to acclimate Etchison to the climate and continue to improve on the working relationship between Etchison and HF Staff (mtg on 5/29)1/9/2018Mtg Scheduled 1/16/2018 @ 1:00 pm; rescheduled due to snow day for 1/25/2018 @ 2:00 pm; Follow-up mtg on 5/29 @ 11:30

  8. D.L.Walker Vision for C.I.S. • David L WalkerMs. LewisElizabeth DurhamMet with Ms. Lewis and Ms. McMillen and both expressed needs on the campus for school supplies and uniforms. Ms. Lewis would like to see the CIS program more involved on campus and the staff being more proactive in order to meet expectations. CIS is working on meeting these expectations currently (mtg on 2/15). Met with Ms. Lewis to follow up on program expectations; Lewis would like more work to be done in the area of being proactive to meeting needs. CIS will continue to put more effort into this need on campus in order to meet school expectations (mtg on 4/4). Vision for C.I.S. • Mary HarrisMr. WilliamsZasmyne RobinsonMr. Williams is satisfied with Ms. Robinson and feels that both she and her intern are supportive, always communicating. Looking to future years, Mr. Williams would like to establish a success room to do SEL activities that Ms. Robinson has expressed interest in and would like to continue discussing community and parent outreach opportunities.   10. Parkway Vision for C.I.S. • ParkwayMs. BellSara BeckMs. Bell is pleased with Ms. Beck and wants to nominate her for the Heartbeat Award this year. Bell stated that she appreciates Beck's advocacy for students, ability to find and provide resources, group services to meet student needs that focus on the whole-child and the mind. Bell stated that she doesn't have to "push" Ms. Beck to do her job and reported, "Ms. Beck makes my job easier."
