  3. Background • RFP: RAF/2012/00032: APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER TO PROVIDE HOSTING FACILITIES FOR THE ROAD ACCIDENT FUND FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE (5) YEARS • Advertised on 07 December 2012 • Closing on 25 January 2013

  4. Background • The RAF wishes to appoint a suitably qualified Service provider to provide hosting facilities for the Road Accident Fund (RAF) for a period of five years.

  7. Evaluation Criteria Evaluation will be based on the following: • Technical Functional Mandatory (Comply or Not Comply) – Bidders who do not meet the mandatory requirement will be disqualified. • Technical Functional Requirement (100 points) • Price and BEE Evaluations (90/10 points)

  11. Disqualification of bids • Bidders shall be disqualified if they fail to: • Submit a valid and original tax clearance certificate • Complete questionnaires in full • Submit true and correct information • Comply with mandatory requirements • Comply with prescribed response format

Bid responses sent by courier must reach the reception at least 36 hours before the closing date to be deposited into the bid box • Submission Register must be signed at the reception by bidder when submitting bid documents. Purpose of the RFP • Provide Tier 4 managed Data Centre hosting facilities to host RAF Primary & Secondary Data Centre Infrastructure • Active – active sites with data replication • Different Metros (acceptable distance) • Caged solution with biometric controlled access • Infrastructure managed by RAF ICT • Provide managed MPLS Cloud Network between RAF offices and the Data Centres • The network architecture must provide a 99,95% availability with multiple POPs in all major cities

Purpose of the RFB • Provide Corporate APN solution • 50 Gig uncapped APN • GSM with coverage in all major cities, urban and rural areas • ±300 sim cards • Provide Dedicated Internet Access with failover at secondary site • 10 Meg primary breakout • 5 Meg secondary breakout • Services On-Demand • If and when required connectivity for expansion
