It is a well-known landmark in Lantau Island. Many people go there in Guangyin birthday and Chinese Lunar New Year.

  7. Hong Kong International Airport • Hong Kong International Airport is among the busiest airports in the world and firmly cements Hong Kong's position as an aviation hub. The passenger terminal is perhaps the world's largest enclosed space and it is certainly one of the most energy efficient buildings yet created. Although awe inspiring, the terminal's interior is not overwhelming. Reflected sunlight, a soaring arched roof and unobtrusive air-conditioning create a comfortable and natural ambience all year round.

  8. Shopping in airport • Shopping is a delight for many of the world's most famous labels and brand names are represented in the terminal's shopping complex. Aptly named SkyMart, this world-class retail and catering facility offers a huge variety of shops, restaurants and cafes, and all are committed to a value-for-money policy of top quality at downtown prices. Trolleys for hand luggage and shopping items are readily available.

  9. Future Development (Disney Land) • Hong Kong Disneyland is modeled after the original Disneyland in California. It will also feature some of the best design elements from other Disney parks around the world, including the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida, U.S.A., Tokyo Disneyland in Japan and Disneyland Paris in France. The result is a familiar yet entirely fresh Disney experience. • Hong Kong Disneyland is divided into four lands, each transporting you to another place and time. You can then continue your magical journey at two uniquely themed resort hotels.

  10. Lantau Country Park • More than half of the area on Lantau has been designated as country parks. Given its rugged terrain, which rises up to 930 metres, and vast stretches of untouched rural hinterland, the island has something to offer almost every lover of nature: a long stretch of nice beaches between Cheung Sha and Pui O, scenic hiking trails spreading across the hilly areas surrounding Sunset Peak (Tai Tung Shan) and Lantau Peak (Fung Wong Shan), campsites and barbecue areas surrounded by trees, monasteries, fishing villages and small farming communities.

  11. Lantau Country Park • Leaflets and brochures issued by the Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Country Parks Authority provide useful guides to the various country trails on Lantau Island. The more popular walks are from Mui Wo to Tung Chung (5 hours), from Tung Chung to Tai O (5 hours), and from Shek Pik via Fan Lau to Tai O. More adventurous hikers may try the Lantau Trail which follows a circular route of about 70km through some of the finest scenic spots on Lantau Island. The Trail, comprising twelve sections, starts and ends at Mui Wo. TheL longer section, intended for well-equipped hikers, may entail an overnight stay.
