  3. Poseidon… • He was the Greek god of the seas. • Zeus, the supreme god, was his brother. • His sisters were Hera, Hestia and Demeter. • Hades, god of the underworld, was also his brother.

  4. Poseidon • He was born to the Titans, Cronus and Rhea. • His wife was Amphritite. • His niece was Athena. • His son was Triton.

  5. Poseidon… • He had long blue hair. • He had two daughters. • The Cyclops were some of his children. They had one eye.

  6. Poseidon… • His Roman name was Neptune. • His sacred animals were the dolphin and horse. • Legend says that he blew life into the first horse on Earth.

  7. Poseidon • His symbol was the trident. • He could cause much destruction on land and in the sea, but could also bring peace.
