Different types of injection packers

The Magnus Set - IXS Injection Packer is a versatile, general purpose, large bore, double-grip, retrievable packer. A mechanical locking system allows the packer to hold pressure from above and below. After setting, the ‘IXS’ can be left with tubing in tension, compression or neutral. Designed primarily for injection wells, but may also be used for production, zone isolation or remedial operations.

Injection Packer • The Magnus Set - IXS Injection Packer is a versatile, general purpose, large bore, double-grip, retrievable packer. • A mechanical locking system allows the packer to hold pressure from above and below. • After setting, the ‘IXS’ can be left with tubing in tension, compression or neutral. • Designed primarily for injection wells, but may also be used for production, zone isolation or remedial operations. • Magnus Set - IXS can be set shallow with tension or deeper with compression and once set can remain in neutral, it is ideal for completions where periodic casing integrity tests are required.

Features • Can be set with tension for use in shallow or deep wells. • No tension or compression required to hold the tool in place once set. • Temperature rating up to 350 Degree F. • 1/4 turn right-hand to set, 1/4 turn right-hand release. • Emergency straight pull shear release, shear rating 30,000 Lbs.
