Findings and Recommendations: • Conference CE programming has reflected • identified CE needs, but is not accessible to all members • Many of our members have limited funding • available for professional development • Travel costs can be a more significant barrier • than course costs • There is significant interest in non-traditional CE methods • i.e. web based instruction, self-directed learning, • etc.

  14. Recommendations: • Actively pursue funding and sponsorship opportunities to enhance resources available for: • course development • provision of courses at the local level • support of individual member attendance at • conference and other CE events

  15. Continue to support chapters and assist chapters in providing local CE programming • Chapter Initiatives Fund • Course/instructor inventory • Workshop planning guide and worksheets

  16. Build instructional capacity within the Association - particularly at the chapter level • Train the trainer workshops at annual conference • Course development and design workshops • Library of course curricula/materials
