  10. Since we last spoke After meeting with our affiliates it would be beneficial to The Dogs Refuge and ourselves to create a 12 month plan. This would include a calendar of proposed future events which can later be implemented. We also discussed some new methods of media distribution and possible advertising with The Melville Herald.

  11. Free Publicity In a phone conversation which took place on the 12/05/09 possible news articles and advertising opportunities where discussed to be placed in The Melville Herald. It was confirmed via the meeting that a “spot has been reserved and it had already been sorted by Karen.” We are currently looking at more possible opportunities in the free publicity area

  12. Web 2.0 We have constructed a Facebook page for The Dogs Refuge Home, however it is currently set to private and we are currently awaiting a confirmation date for the big debut of the: ‘The Dogs Refuge Home Group Page’

  17. Content Board 1: Services such as, dog training, bathing and grooming, boarding, pet cemetery Information about volunteering and how to donate

  18. Content Board 2: Will have a The Dogs Refuge Home banner displayed across the top of the pin up board.

  19. Content Board 3: Displays photographs of both happy dogs and their loving owners. Also displayed on this board will be important information on adopting a dog and requirements for matching a dog with its owner.

  20. Story Boarding 4our has created an uplifting story of hope and determination. It will be broadcast to the public on June 9th at our display stand. WARNING: please bring tissues, they are not provided

  21. What we aim to achieve It is our objective to increase the awareness of The Dogs Refuge Home, in doing this we can potentially increase volunteer numbers. As this is apart of our SMART objective we aim to spread as much awareness as possible.

  22. SMART Progress As apart of the new partnership between the dogs home and The Melville Herald they are now able to advertise for volunteers through this service. There have been a few new enquiries about volunteering for the dog home through free publicity.
