Today’s Objectives • Demonstrate knowledge of parts of the sewing machine & the functions of each • Further develop proficiency in machine stitching, directional sewing & control using fabric • To accurately thread the sewing machine and bobbin with colored thread • Clearly explain the strategies used to stitch each shape using appropriate sewing terms • Parts of the Sewing Vocabulary Review Match Up!: kinesthetic/Tactile Activity • Directional Sewing Practice with Fabric Paper stitching guide sheets Transferred to interfacing and Pinned to muslin Crazy stitching practice: Straight Lines, Curves, Pivots and Square Corners (with thread) • Wrap Up Activity: Partners A & B
