  3. DUTIES OF A cardiographictechnician • Perform diagnostic procedures when requested by a physician • Assist the physician to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with cardiac disease • Operate machines that record electrical changes between heart beats

  4. Important Dates Mondays & Wednesdays 6-9:30 pm

PREREQUISITES • High school diploma or G.E.D • Proficiency in English (reading, writing & speaking skills) • At least 18 years of age • Hand-to-eye coordination and finger agility • Suitable vision, normal or corrected • Immunizations & background check • May be required by some externship locations • No prior criminal offenses • Employers often perform background checks on applicants

  6. Recommended prerequisites • Familiarity with anatomy and physiology • Knowledge of medical terminology • Understanding of pharmacology in cardiac drugs
