Regardless of distance, countries share a common heritage, as can be shown by the wide diffusion of certain games, • With this presantation we are going to have the opportunity to achieve a deeper understanding of other cultures. Toys and games have a long tradition in European societies and Turkish society • widely practiced, in same/different ways, by both children and adults regardless of gender, class or cultural belonging.   5. Many cultures enjoy games that typically are non-competitive. • Children in many countries play games that emphasize a communal spirit, shared fun and healthy exercise. Every player except Ebe (pronounced eh-beh) or "It" stands by a tree or post; Ebe stands in the middle.All of the players chant the game stanza: • Four players have four trees, • And Ebe stands in the middle. • Now change places. Howtoplay? • Select one player as the blind man and have this person put on the blindfold while he is standing in the center of the room or area of play. • Spin the blind man around a couple of times so that she becomes disoriented.   13. Howtoplay? • Make sure the other players stop where they are when the blind man stops counting. They must stay in this position until the end of the game. • Yell out "Blind man's..." if you are the blind man.   16. A very widespread game with sticks is called Çelik Çomak, though there are dozens of other names according to the region, with slight changes of rules. A Çelik is a small fairly thick piece of wood about a foot long, with each end pointed round off into a point. • A longer stronger stick of three to four feet is called Çomak. • A long narrow hole approximately two feet long, six inches wide, and three inches deep is dug in the ground. The Çelik is placed across it; one man raises the Çelik with his Çomak and sends it afield with a stroke and the other player tries to catch or touch it. • If he succeeds in doing so, he gets possession of the hole and starts playing the game. • If he fails, then the man who first sent the Çelik avails himself of the first chance.   20. This is played with at least 10 people. Two players are chosen, and these take the names “golden watch” and “golden bracelet.” These two stand face-to-face, hold and raise their hands.   21. The others walk and pass under these two children’s hands saying: • Open the door Head of the grasping trader What do you give As a deal? What do you give?   22. When the last sentence is recited, one of the players is captured. The two doing the catching take him and ask whether he prefers the golden watch or the golden bracelet. Depending on his answer, the boy stands behind one or other of the two. The process continues until all the players have been caught.
