  1. Muon Detector Status (week 46 Nov 10-->14) Present: Sandro, Pierre-Yves , Pierluigi, Fabrizio, Matteo, Oleg, Sasha, Burkhard, Ale • Sandro and Pierre-Yves have been working on a procedure to perform an automatic test of the MUON-L0MU optical links – Sandro has been also working on other PVSS-related issues. • Rafael and Davide have understood the problem on the GEM threshold scan. Rafael is working on the ELMB firmware and will provide a solution before he leaves (Wednesday). • Sasha and Ale completed the M1 gas pipes installation. • The HVGEM system is now connected to muhvc02w via a SYSTEC. The first communication tests from PVSS via CANopen OPC Server have been completed successfully (Matteo M., Fabrizio). • Giovanni P. has restarted (after fighting with bugs, corrupetd PVSS installations, non-working shortcuts…) the M2-M5 timing tests A. Cardini / CERN & INFN

  2. Muon Detector Plans (week 47, Nov. 17-->21) Present: Francesco, Oleg, Sasha, Rafael (up to 18th), Burkhard, Ale, Saputi, Anelli, Rossellini, Luca Landi • Participate to the global commissioning week. Should concentrate on DAI issues. We will keep a low profile on this activity as we have many more urgent activities planned. • Work with L0MU to debug the "blind PU problem" on Side-C. We will need "PDM event" on side C during several hours – start today with Q3 (Giovanni P., Renaud) • Measure the optical power for the 15 fibers which failed the 9 db test (Reneaud, Ale) • Continue M2-M5 timing test (Giovanni P., then Francesco D.) • Continue HVGEM work from Cagliari/LNF (Matteo M., Fabrizio) • Continue work on M1 FEB PVSS projects (Davide, Rafael) • Finalize M1 services: arrange cable at cable-chain exit, install a few missing HV cables, complete gas pipes protection, install fire-extinguishers (Sasha, Luca) • Some final HV work (a few cables to be installed, connectorization) on M1 (Anelli, Rossellini) • Complete GAM+MWPC Gasy System Commissioning + pressure test • Sasha is preparing the M1 wall alignment tools A. Cardini / CERN & INFN
