Fossil Fuels Facts • There are 3 types of fossil fuels: Oil, Gas, and Coal • Coal,oil,and natural gas provide more than 85% of all energy used in the U.S.A • Fossil Fuels are nonrenewable • Coil is crushed and then burned and oil and gas can be burned during it • Tiny sea plants and animals die because of fossil fuels on the ocean floor overtime , they were covered by layers of slit and sand

  3. The Top Crude Oil Producing States One of the 5 states are California ,Texas, Louisiana, Alaska ,and North Dakota • California-(11%) • Texas-(21%) • Louisiana-(3.5%) • Alaska-(12%) • North Dakota-(4%)

  4. Products Made by Petroleum Ink, Crayons, Dishwashing liquids, deodorant, eyeglasses, CDs and DVDs, tires, ammonia, and heart valves.

  5. Emissions and Byproducts are produced from burning petroleum. • Carbon dioxide • Carbon monoxide • Sulfur dioxide • Nitrogen oxides • Particulate matter
