This update provides information on the IRP, Inc. Board of Directors and newly elected directors, regional calls, website improvements, audit exchange, clearinghouse, member needs survey, the new reciprocity agreement, partnerships, and upcoming meetings.

Board of Directors Anita Wasko (PA), Chair Deann Williams (KS), Vice Chair Art Farley (WA), Secretary Peter Hurst (ON), Treasurer Jay Starling (AL), Past Chair Robert Ide (VT), Region I David Helton (FL), Region II (rotating position) John Poole (TX), Region II Scott Greenawalt(OK), Region II Cathy Beedle (NE), Region III Shaun Hammond (AB), Region IV Debra Hill (CA), Region IV In addition to the voting Board members, we also have several non-voting members representing industry and related organization’s that sit on the Board as advisors.

IRP Board Regional Calls In April the Board representatives from each region hosted a call with the membership Purpose was to update the membership on various topics and have open discussion with the membership Also hosted a 1 hour session for each region at the recent Annual Meeting Next calls to be later this fall

  6. IRP Website Making some changes to address member feedback: New membership directory functionality More focus on current news and events on homepage IRP Audit Exchange

IRP Website New membership directory functionality New layout on each jurisdictional page New report that will be sortable by members to sort by categories (for example by voting member) New Compiled document similar to the old directory layout (printable) New process for a designated jurisdictional representative to be able to update the jurisdictional information

  8. IRP Website Jurisdictional Information The website has a lot of information on specific topics for each jurisdiction Need help to get it updated to ensure we have the most up to date information possible We need your help! We will be calling for your help

  9. IRP Website Focus on Improving Homepage Bring the current news and events forward and highlight on the homepage Evaluate to be sure we are communicating information the membership wants and needs More user friendly

  10. IRP Website IRP Audit Exchange Addressing the need to improve the exchange of audit between the member jurisdictions Partnering with IFTA to host a process like the current IFTA audit exchange process Should be up and operational soon

IRP Clearinghouse • Major Activities Completed • Clearinghouse Transition Completed June 2012 • Participating to Non-Participating Completed March 2013 • Standard Vehicle Information Report Completed January 2013 • Draft CH Technology Plan Draft completed in July 2013. Board will review in Fall 2013.

  13. IRP Clearinghouse • Ongoing Projects: • MB and OK participation projects • Archiving Project • Completion in summer 2013. Only 5 years of data will remain in CH. • Second phase will include survey to jurisdictions on use of older data. • CH Technology Planning • Evaluating jurisdiction suggested enhancements • Standard reports for the Peer Review Committee and jurisdictional audit agencies

  14. IRP Member Needs Survey • Recently conducted by the IRP Education Committee • Received more than 125 responses • Common theme was the need for training for new and existing staff • Need for new and innovative training methods • See it as another opportunity to partner to make it happen!

  15. New Reciprocity Agreement International Non Apportioned Vehicle Agreement - INCVA The INCVA is a new registration reciprocity agreement that is to replace existing non-standard reciprocity agreements with a uniform standard agreement that will facilitate registration reciprocity for vehicles that are not required to be registered under IRP Enrollment is now open for jurisdictions to sign onto the agreement Information can be found on the IRP website

IRP Partnerships Continue to Build Partnerships Successful Joint IRP/IFTA sessions at CVSA in 2012 and 2013 Successful 2013 Audit Workshop (San Antonio, Texas January 2013) IFTA/IRP Managers & Law Enforcement Workshop (October 2013) Participating with AAMVA, CCMTA, IFTA, UMA and other partners at various meetings and conferences

  17. Upcoming Meetings 2014 IRP Annual Meeting May 13-15, 2014 – Alburquerque, New Mexico May 16: IRP Board of Directors Meeting IRP Board of Directors Winter Meeting January 2014, TBD 2014 IFTA/IRP Audit Workshop February 25 – 28, 2014, Fort Lauderdale, Florida
