  1. Meteors Participants: Slaven Mišak Ahn Soo Young Jee Myeong Keun Diego Širola Leader: Nikola Strah Scientific advisors: Goran Zgrablić Nikola Biliškov Izidor Pelajić & co.

  2. Plan: • do radio observations • do video observations • do visual observations • do ELF observations

  3. Radio • Objectives: • Find frequency of a far TV station witch we can hear only when a meteor passes by. • Enable antenna and radio receiver • Whole night recording combined with visual & video observations for later analisys. • ANALYSE

  4. Already done Frequency: FM 56.2396 MHz Signal source: TV station Prague (audio only) Signal output power: 15 kW Yagi Antenna Recording Programe

  5. To Do(radio) • Analysing the 12 hour data • Make another recording for analisys

  6. Video • Objectives: • Enable CCD video camera for visual recording of a meteor in fly-by. • Find a computer capable of receiving the data. • Compare the data from 3 different sources (video, radio & visual)

  7. Already done • DC power supply... • TV card is working

  8. To Do • Get the cable to connect camera to PC • Software checking needed • Make recording • Analyse and compare the data

  9. Visual • Spend the night observing • Report our findings to IMO • Determine ZHR of the observed showers

  10. Alredady done Night observing and reporting to IMO

  11. To Do • Determine ZHR • Spend another night observing

  12. ELF • Objectives: • Connect NI-DAQmx card on to the electrometer. • Set up the parts.

  13. Already done -power connected to container -Osciloscope is connected to the antenna. We got a stabile oscillating signal- from power cables (??)

  14. To Do • Connect the equipment • Observe Schumann resonances -Hopefully we’ll detect the meteor passing by.

  15. THE END For now..
