  3. Entering the classroom. • Enter SILENTLY! • Begin your daily warm-up ‘SPOTLIGHT’ • Clear ALL items off your desk when finished 4. Remain seated

  4. What are we going to learn in drama? • Audience & Theatre Etiquette • Vocal and Physical Techniques • Storytelling • Improvisation • Pantomime • Characterization • Theatre Careers • Readers Theatre • Musical Theatre • Puppetry

  5. What supplies do I need? 1 -hard cover 1” binder,any color 5 -dividers 2 -pencils 1 -package notebook paper *BRING BY THURSDAY!*

  6. Grades in Drama 50% - Daily Grades = daily participation, group work, daily spotlight & notes, notebook checks 50% - Quizzes/ Performance evaluations = open note quizzes, group and solo performances *AUDIENCE ETIQUETTE will be a part of every grade that involves performing.

  7. EXTRA CREDIT? • Attend a LIVE PROFESSIONAL theatre performance during this semester • Bring back a program • Donate costumes or extra supplies • Costumes • Hats • Wigs • Props

  8. Exiting the classroom. • SUPER ~FREEZE! • Tables released one at a time by TEACHER • Return binders NEATLY on the shelf!

  9. VOICE LEVELS 0 - No Talking/ Mouth zipped 1 - No sound– Mouth words 2 - Whisper – Only AIR 3 - STAGE whisper 4 - Soft Voice 5 - Regular Conversational 6 - Loud Conversation 7 - STAGE VOICE 8 - Loud Presentational/emotion 9 - Emotional/Upset 10- Outside (Yelling)
