  1. Your assignment is to demonstrate your creativity and ability to communicate “story” through the art of pantomime like in a silent film. You and your group, of no more than five people, will be creating a silent film short. The subject of your film must center on your group’s assigned painting; the plot around your painting is up to your group. However, your plot should be simple enough to be understood without explanation.

  2. Your film must BEGIN or END with the image in your painting. All special effects must be physical – not computer generated. Should clearly reflect discussed elements of Setting (landscape), Body, and Face No more than 2-4 captions during the film – each must be 1 sentence in length, and must be an isolated image 5) Length: 1 min. minimum; 4 min. maximum Not all members of group must be ON film, but all must be involved Entire film must be shot during class – editing outside of class should be VERY minimal (pasting together clips.)
