Sample of research • Characteristics of the sample challenges : • SN Users between 16 October 2011- 3January 2012. • Users participate anonymously and if they wish • A simple questionnaire posted to their Facebook email • User location • the users are between 18-35 years old (as per user acc. info) • New Caledonia –145 87,420, (14587) Tonga 8,940 (89) , Vanuatu 7,200 (72) • Tuvalu 17420 (174) Fiji 162,880 (1628) • Challenges of research- • Members are not necessarily living in the country of origin and therefore bias can happen-e.g. diaspora, • Maybe some level of control on basis of (difficult to define) TIE STRENGTHS of members with PICs
