  3. Methodology • Go through work done to date in similar areas and available publicly • Visit 7 representative European countries and obtain ‘grass root’ opinion on the matter • Compile a set of QoS criteria • Validate against user/customer population • Final report of work and findings

  4. Timescales • Commenced in October 2002 • Interim report April 2003 • Final report by September 2003 • Approval and closure by end of 2003 • Work in STQ in parallel from June 2003 to define parameters, specify methods of measurement and presentation of results • STQ work target to finish in spring 2004

  5. What is sought from Oftel Internet group • UK consensus view of QoS criteria for ISPs to report delivered quality on a regular basis • Whether any ISP/s are willing to contribute to the definitions, specification of measurements and presentation of results to be undertaken by ETSI STQ from June 2003 (and expected to finish 3 meetings later in spring 2004)
