  9. Methods and Procedures Objective: Build A Dilatometer • Attach Wires To Top and Lower Plate and Connect To Capacitance Meter with Ground • Attach a Thermometer onto the dilatometer • Design Experiments to ensure the Dilatometer is Most Accurate • Test in Liquid Helium • Record All Data

  15. Solving The Problem • For A Steady Read Of The Capacitor, Dilatometer Had To Be Grounded • Grounding Is The Process Of Returning Electrical Circuit, Causing There To Be A Steady Pulse

  16. We Discovered That… • As Distance Increased, Capacitance Decreased • For some reason the capacitance either jumped up or down (still under investigation)
