FT TENT! 160(ish) VIP RECEPTION GUESTS 100% OF EXPENSE PAID BY U.S. VENTURE RAISED $18.4 MIL SINCE 1986 2014 NEW GRANT COMMITMENTS OF $2.8 MIL TO FIGHT POVERTY, $14.1 MIL SINCE 1986 ALL POSSIBLE THANKS TO 225 VOLUNTEERS   

  7. EVENT DETAILS Welcome Reception Tuesday, August 12 U.S. Venture, Inc. 425 Better Way, Appleton 4-6:30 p.m. (Open House style): Appetizers and beverages Time for partners and participants to network Golfers can pick up (and customize) gifts The String Benders

  8. EVENT DETAILS Scramble Wednesday, August 13 8:00 a.m. – Registration begins 8:30 a.m. – Health Screening begins 9:00 a.m. – “Lunch” (served until 2:30) 10:00 a.m. – Golfer TEE OFF! Refreshments & snacks at food tent & par 3 holes TaylorMade hosting longest drive contest

  9. EVENT DETAILS Van Abel’s of Hollandtown (8108 Cty Rd. D) • Event is not open to the general public • Volunteers at all doors to direct people to registration • All attendees must wear wristband (Extra security!) • Open ONLY to scheduled volunteers • 4:00 p.m. – Cocktail Reception & Silent Auction • 4:00-5:00 p.m. – VIP Reception (red wristbands only) • 5:45 – Welcome • 6:00 – Dinner Served • Van Abel’s volunteers eat after program and clean up • 6:30 – Live Auction & Program with Guest of Honor

Will NOT appear on any golf courses Will appear at private reception at Van Abel’s for $10,000+ partners Guests will have RED wrist bands Will speak after dinner with special guest/biographer Howard Bryant Help auctioning off “Hank” items! Absolutely DO NOT ask Henry for autographs, photos, kisses, etc.

  12. VOLUNTEER CHECKLIST MUST HAVES: Volunteer Assignment(s) Job Description(s) READ the Job Description  Picking up materials for someone else? (don’t forget) Volunteer Polo Shirt Enthusiasm Patience & Flexibility!

  13. VOLUNTEER CHECKLIST WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: • Volunteer Shirt (optional for Kick-Off Volunteers) • Sunscreen, sunhat, sunglasses • Shorts, pants, or skirt (no denim at private clubs) • Comfortable shoes • Extra set of work clothes if setting up or taking down • Folding chair if working a course

  14. VOLUNTEER CHECKLIST All participants must wear wristband (day/night) Blue – Golf/Dinner Red – Golf/Private Reception/Dinner All participants assigned a bid number Printed on wrist band Bidder paddles given out at Van Abel’s All participants must have FUN!

VOLUNTEER CHECKLIST What to Do (or Not): • DO accept your golf assignment with understanding & enthusiasm! • DO be on time! • DOpark as far away as possible from course or Van Abel’s • DO help keep courses clean! • DO NOT drive a cart if you are under 16 • DO NOTdrink alcohol during assigned shift(s)! • DO HAVE FUN & GIVE FUN!

VOLUNTEER CHECKLIST - PAR 3 HOLES • IF ASSIGNED TO WORK A PAR 3 HOLE: • Hole-in-one prizes on certain par 3 holes: WATCH THE HOLE to verify a hole-in-one • Yamaha 4-Wheeler, Yamaha Moped, TaylorMade Clubs • Prepare a game for golfers – fun, interactive, fast! • Coordinate with other par 3 holes at your course • Want them to have max Venture Bucks • Examples…
