CD Product CDs are designed specifically for Peer Review Study Section meetings Each CD contains the following: • All grant applications assigned to the study section meeting. • All related prior summary statements. • All related program announcements (PAs) • All related request for proposals (RFAs) • All related reviewer guidelines • CD User Guide

CD Order Processes • CD order processes enable NIH staff to request and communicate CD orders to the CD contractor, and enable the contractor to effectively create and deliver the CDs. • CD order processes are dependent on previous data entries into IMPAC II Review Module, where applications are assigned to study section meetings and reviewers, and conflicts are identified.

  4. Peer Review Activities • 2,225 meetings • 34,645 reviewers • Approximately 4,450 CD conflict reviewers • 45,000 applications

  5. Activities Equate to CDs • 2,225 meetings = 2,225 master CDs • 34,645 reviewers = 34,645 standard CDs (standard CDs are copies of master CDs) • 4,450 conflict reviewers = 4,450 custom CDs (avg. 2 per meeting x 2,225 meetings) • 2,225 masters+4,450 cust. = 6,675 unique CDs • 34,645 standards + 11125 extras = 45,770 standard CDs(avg. 5 extras for each of 2,225 meetings)

  7. What technical components are needed? • CD Order Entry Module (for NIH staff use) • CD Order Retrieval Module (for CD contractor use) • CD Order Data File • CD Order Packing Slip • CD Order Entry Report • Application Registration-to-Scanning Age Report • CD Estimated-Time-of-Arrival (ETA)

IMPAC II Review Study Section Meeting CD Order Entry Screen Commands Exit Submit Order Edit Delivery Address Delete Pending Order Details including ETA Packing Slip Report Pick the type of order you want (1,2, or 3): o 1. Order complete set of CDs for study section meeting. (Select this option when you are first ready to order CDs for you entire study section meeting.) A CD will automatically be produced for every reviewer, however, ,you may order extras. How many extra standard CDs do you want? o 2. Order a quantity of standard CDs. (Select this option when you make late discovery you need a few more CDs. For example, you discover a few extra people are coming to your meeting.) How many standard CDs do you want? o 3. Order 1 custom CD for 1 specific reviewer who has conflicts. (Select this option when you make late discovery of conflict.) Pick the conflict reviewer from pop-list of reviewers who have conflicts!
