  1. Paragraph 1 - Introduction Name the movie, show, novel, or play and give any general information that you know.

  2. For example: Shrek 2 is an animated comedy released in 2004. It is rated PG and is enjoyable for all ages. This movie was a big box office moneymaker. Now, millions of people own Shrek 2 on DVD. The movie’s soundtrack featured popular songs by artists such as Counting Crows.

  3. Characters Paragraph List the main characters and give a short description of each.

  4. Setting Paragraph Give the reader an idea of the places they can expect to see the characters spending time.

  5. Plot Paragraph Write about what kinds of things happen in the movie, novel, play, or show WITHOUT giving away too many details. Keep it GENERAL!

  6. For example: Spongebob Squarepants is a hilarious cartoon. Spongebob and his best friend Patrick often find themselves in crazy situations. Whatever they end up doing, no doubt they will usually end up annoying their neighbor Squidward. Working at the Krusty Krab, jellyfishing, and blowing bubbles are among Spongebob’s favorite activities. No matter what the adventure, the viewer can expect to see a very enthusiastic and optimistic Spongebob reacting to everyday life in funny ways.
