  1. Please begin working on the warm up

  2. Please add to your notes: Vertical angles – angles across the vertex from each other. They do not share a side – only the vertex. They are congruent.

  3. Adjacent Angles – are NEXT to each other. They share a vertex, a side, but no interior points. They do not overlap. <AEC and <CED are adjacent angles <AEB and <BEC are adjacent angles <AEC and <BEC are NOT adjacent angles. They overlap. <BEC and <CED are adjacent angles

  4. Angle Bisector– a line, ray, or segment that cuts an angle in half. The bisector creates two congruent angles.

  5. Segment Bisector– a line, ray, or segment that intersects the segment at it’s midpoint and cuts it in half. The bisector creates two congruent segments. Perpendicular Bisector– a line, ray, or segment that intersects the segment at it’s midpoint and cuts it in half – at a right angle.

  6. Please get a straight edge, a compass and a piece of printer paper.

  7. 1.6 Constructions When I say “Constructions” You think “Straight edge and compass”

  8. Constructions This link will take you to the world’s greatest construction site EVER! • Congruent Segments • Congruent angles • Angle bisector • Perpendicular bisector
