  1. Welcome Back to School Mrs. Severn’s & Mrs. Pugmire’s Third Grade Class

  2. MyPhilosophy: I’m very excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I value children and their development- socially, emotionally, and academically. I want to create a safe, nurturing environment allowing students to do their best work and grow up being respectful, kind, and responsible citizens. I will do my best to meet each child where they are and help them progress forward to success.

  3. Schedule: • P.E. is on Mondays and Tuesdays from 2:25-3:05 a.m. • Computer is on Mondays 10:20-10:40 a.m. and Wednesdays from 2:25-2:45 p.m. • Music is on Thursdays at 10-10:30 a.m. • Library is on Thursdays at 2:25-2:55 p.m. • Please schedule appointments during these times. Thanks!

  4. Discipline: Class-Wide

  5. Class-Wide Behavior: • Our class pet, Spot, gives/takes bones away for behavior. • When the Paw Jar is full, we celebrate by having a party! • If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s behavior, please contact me.

  6. Homework: Read 20 minutes M-F Bring reading book to class everyday for Silent Reading. Study for tests. Book reports & long term projects. Occasional math assignments. Unfinished work from the school day.

  7. Progress: Scores can be improved with a “do-over”. Each Friday, we willsend out an email and hard copy of any missing work. They have until the next Tuesday to get it in or it becomes a zero (except for cursive or keyboarding). Aargh!

  8. Miscellaneous: Sign Computer Usage Agreement. Sign up to help in the classroom. Donations needed. Update your email with me. Sign up for myDSDaccount. Sign Computer Acceptable Use form online. Add me as contact in your email so you get my messages.
