  5. 802.11: RSSI Based Location • 802.11b PHY/MAC (1, 2 , 5.5, 11 Mbps) • Uses existing WiFi infrastructure • Makes use of existing RSSI-based location solutions (e.g. CISCO LBS)

  7. Electronic Product Code (EPC) • Emulates a passive RFID tag • and responds to RFID readers • Tag location is known when in range of the reader • Range of a few metres
