By the end of this manual:- You will have knowledge of who is in TYSA and how to contact them You will have some insight into the software being used in TYSA and what you might expect to see or be able to do with it You will know who to first contact in the event that you encounter any problem You will know what forms are expected of you and how to handle them – online and via surface mail You will understand what is expected of you, and the principles of how D&P is applied and why You will know what identification is required for players and team officials

Reschedules • Coaches must review their complete schedule and notify the scheduler of any conflicts or schedule problems within 7 days of the initial schedules are published (deadline for requests is Sept 18) NO Reschedule requests for week 1) (Fall Only); After that time there will be NO reschedules other than weather related, official related or park requests. • No reschedules for the Spring season.

  11. As a coach you will need:- Your Got Soccer Logon ID with password If you do not have one please contact your Club Administrator or Got Soccer • Got Soccer and You

  13. Instructions on how to print • You must also have Popup Blockers turned off in order to proceed with printing (Pressing Cntrl and button together will bypass security software) • Click on Print Roster Button. [This should open the roster in the Crystal reports screen] • NOTE – In the Crystal Report window there are icons that allow you to perform • the following functions. By hovering over the icon the system will inform you • what function it performs • a. Export to a different file format - • b. Print to your printer • c. Group Hide Tree (rosters are always aligned to the right, to move to flush left, you will need to close the tree using this icon • Once you have opened the roster, click on the print icon to print your roster • Another window will open select all and click the Print button • If your internet browser has placed a security bar in your Window you will need to repeat the last 2 steps at which time you will be prompted to open or save to save the roster • TIP: (If you choose to save we recommend saving to your desktop) • Click on "Open" which opens the roster in Adobe Reader • Click on the Printer Icon located in the Window tool bar - and then select OK

  14. If you have problems with this using this software: Contact your Club Admin Include your Team details and a contact number where you may be reached. Explain your problem including any error messages and what occurred. If your Club cannot resolve your problem they will escalate it - TYSA, STYSA, Got Soccer. Your Club will keep everyone aware until your problem is resolved. Others may also be experiencing the same problem. • Software Problems

  15. Got Soccer and Your Schedule To print game card / report click Print Roster button.

  16. The ‘Game Card’ or ‘Game Report’Top Half Coaches and team managers can also record Red Cards, Yellow Cards, and which players scored the goals

  18. Who does what? Before the game starts: Both teams will supply the official game report card to the referee before the game begins.

  19. The ‘Game Card’ or ‘Game Report’ Both coaches will supply game card to Referee. Make sure that your jersey numbers are loaded in Got Soccer.

Who does what? • After the game: • Check the final score and verify any discipline or cards. • Both coaches need to sign both game cards • The referee needs to sign both game cards • The Officials also need to print their names.   21. Rule 11.2.1.6 Each coach shall certify the game results upon conclusion of the match by signing the Official Game Report. Discrepancies on the game sheet must be brought to the Referee’s attention prior to leaving the field. Appeals action may be taken against a coach who refuses to sign a complete and accurate Official Game Report.

  24. The BOTH coaches will have the responsibility for mailing the Official Game Report to the TYSA Scorekeeper. ALWAYS keep a copy before mailing the original (mail does get lost). Who does what?

What is required on an Official Game report before it can be mailed in? • Game Number (identifies the game played) • Location of the Field (Dyess, Meyer Park, etc) • Field Number • Division (i.e. U13D3B, U11D2G etc) • Final Score of the Game • Home Team Coach’s signature • Visiting Team Coach’s signature • Referees’ Signatures and any penalties noted

  26. BOTH team coaches shall have the responsibility for entering the results from the Official Game Report on the TYSA website. This includes the Home and Visitor scores, and all disciplinary action (cards). Results shall be entered NO LATER than 6pm on the Monday following the date each game was played

  27. Disciplinary Action (cards) • Most common errors and conflicts occur here • Make sure to record any cards for BOTH teams before leaving the field • Include the reason stated for the card • This information must be entered by both coaches and must match

  28. This is the form that you must take to the next game and have both the referee and the other manager sign. You must then send in the form along with your GAME SHEET (for the game where the player is suspended) to the TYSA scorekeeper. http://timberlinesoccer.com/Forms/PlayerSuspensionVerification.doc

Rule 11.2.1.4 After submitting the results online, the WINNING team coach, or in the event of a tie game, BOTH Coaches shall have 48 hours to mail to the address listed on the TYSA website, the Official Game Report to the TYSA Scorekeeper. The official Game Report is required to be in the TYSA Scorekeepers possession no later than Friday of the following week of the played game or that game will be declared a forfeit. Rule 11.2.1.5 Failure to deliver the Official Game Report as required shall subject the coach to D&P action. Each coach can see if the Scorekeeper has received the game report and the game is certified via the coaches page on the website. The website will show “certify” or “certified” on the line of the games submitted.

Before the game – print out the game card At the game – give your game card to the referee Red Cards – get any suspension form from last game signed by the referee that the player is not playing After the game – check & sign both copies of game card – Document the score and all cards issued for your use. At home – submit the final score on the website; enter the referee evaluation (http://timberlinesoccer.com/tsra/Scripts/ref_eval_page.htm) Mail your copy of the game card to the Scorekeeper within time limit KEEP a copy of the game report in case it is lost and for your records Red Cards – mail in any signed suspension form (keep a copy) with your game card Print out the next game card Reschedules ideally we require ~14 days notice and rules allow one reschedule per season per team (icon disappears 10 days before game time) REPORTING SUMMARY

Provide a fair and equitable play group for all participants Read, understand and apply the rules of the league Know and obey the laws of the game Laws and rules are different Develop each player to their fullest potential As adults, we serve as role models The model they follow is the one they see when we think they are not looking! Our Expectations of You

  33. . The TYSA Administrator receives game reports and reviews for any possible rule violations or we hear about an issue/incident that day or the next. The issue/incident is turned over to the Executive VP for investigation and ruling. . We will consult with the Referee(s) . We will contact the coaches involved with the issue. . We will notify the President/D&P Committee of the club about the issue. . We will follow the rules ( TYSA Red Book ) to reach a decision. . We will watch your team play a game in the future. You are the representative of your club at the game site. How things work in D&P

  34. We don’t want to D&P a player, a coach or a team. The TYSA D&P Committee is composed of Executive Board Members or Presidents of the Clubs We don’t make emotional decisions nor do we carry vendettas. We just apply the rules of the TYSA Red Book If you understand the rules and follow them, you will not hit the radar screen Keep Your Perspective -you are a Role Model

Rule 6.2 – Presentation of Passes Player passes are to be checked for all D2 & D3 games All games will be played regardless of passes Referee’s will note missing passes on the game report The team has until the end of the game to produce any missing passes all players must stay on the field & in uniform Games played with missing player passes will will be declared forfeit by the offending team D&P Process will be the only avenue for appeal Recent photo please!

  37. KidSafe Passes You must have a KidSafe pass prior to the season starting. If you have not registered for your KidSafe pass, you need to do so immediately through your Club. The new process for KidSafe is to register through the Got Soccer software. You will receive a colored pass. This pass needs to have your picture attached, be signed, and laminated. The Pass must be visible at all times before and during the game. (Wear around the neck or clip to a jacket or jersey)

Coaching Licenses Only Registered Coaches may participate in STYSA sanctioned events STYSA 3.1.16 Defines a Registered Coach as a coach who’s background check was not rejected and who has completed an age appropriate coaching license within 1 year of appointment as a coach TYSA Rule 3.1.3.3 requires a coach to be licensed

  39. Insurance Claims Insurance claim forms can be found on the TYSA website under forms. Insurance forms are to be filed thru your Home Association Administrator. Complete pages 2 and 3 of the form (page 1 to be completed by Administrator). TYSA coaches will mail their completed forms to the TYSA Administrator (mailing address on the TYSA website) and unaffiliated teams will file their claims thru their Home Association. Note: Claims for Super II, Div II, Div III and Div IV are filed thru your Home Association. Div I claims are filed through EDDOA (U11-12 EDDOA play group teams file through TYSA).
