Lessons Learned • Get buy-in / Support from Upper Management • Project Champion – VP of Student Services and Outreach • Identify goals and key target audiences • Keep steering committee small • Involve the help desk • Advertise portal as the only way to access key services (Registration, Grades). Hide or close direct access • Sell the portal. Keep key departments apprised of project status
