  2. Outline • NECAP assessment data - aggregation for reporting • New Longitudinal reports of NECAP assessment data • Analyze a few longitudinal reports in detail • Feedback on possible future reports/exports NH DoE - February 10, 2011

  3. NECAP testing - Fall • Each year students in grades 3-8 and 11 take the NECAP that tests GLEs for end of previous year, measuring what students should know upon entering the grade being tested. • Fall testing is a reporting challenge  NH DoE - February 10, 2011

  4. Aggregation of assessment data two ways using same result set Teaching year Aggregated by school the student was in the year prior to the test – most often one grade level lower Used to measure effectiveness of program - curriculum and instruction Testing year Aggregated by school that administered the test Used to measure knowledge of current students NH DoE - February 10, 2011

  5. Teaching Year/grade vs. Testing Year/grade Example • In October 2010 grade 6 Students are tested. 6 is the Fall Testing grade and 2010 is the Fall testing year • The results are reported in two ways: • Aggregated by the school of enrollment for Oct. 1 2010 (called the testing school) • Aggregated by the school of enrollment for the school year 2009-2010(called the Teaching school) NH DoE - February 10, 2011

  6. Multiple locations to find NECAP assessment data reports • NECAP page • Multiple charts, graphs • School District Profile reports • Detailed data one year at a time. • Performance Plus • Multiple reports • Select different sets of assessments • Apply filters • NARS • NECAP Analysis & Reporting System • Longitudinal Reports • Selection of assessments and filters predefined • Multiple years of data NH DoE - February 10, 2011

  7. Where to find predefined Longitudinal Reports when logged into PPlus • Pplus – right side of screen NH DoE - February 10, 2011

  8. DOE Website NH DoE - February 10, 2011

  9. Main Report Screen NH DoE - February 10, 2011
