  2. What’s Our Issue?Guiding & Preparing Youth For The “Green Jobs” Of The Future Let’s Skip the Bulletpoints & Let You Explore Our Website! http://www.energywattchers.com Just Don’t Forget To Come Back To Our PowerPoint! 

  3. Elements Of Our Action Plan GLOBAL INVOLVEMENT: After hosting a successful and exciting “Green Jobs Summit” at our school, where we invited environmental specialists from around the world, via Skype, to speak with students about what it takes to be competitive for the “green jobs” of the future, we decided to take our concerns about the gap in education for these “green jobs” of the future to our legislature. We began emailing schools, (25 schools total), in China, Africa, Chile, Costa Rica and the Philippines, requesting students to meet us on Skype for a “Global Green Jobs Summit,” to discuss environmental issues and collaborate on solutions for our specific areas. PARTNERSHIPS CREATED: We heard back from 2 schools, The Settlers High School’s Green Society in Cape Town, South Africa via their Vice Principal/Head and Intercultura Language School in Costa Rica, via their teachers who are already very eco-oriented. We’re excited about these partnerships, likeness in wanting to educate youth, and the collaborative opportunities. INTERACTIVE SOCIAL MEDIA: Via our Twitter account, people can share their links, ideas, videos and internship opportunities, which we then in turn put on our website. Without Twitter and Skype, we wouldn’t have reached our partners and future collaborative partners in other countries. • GLOBAL SUPPORT: We have received support not only from individuals and notable companies like Pavegen Energy in London (who is our keynote speaker) and the Zero Energy Lab at University of North Texas, but we made fans in 5 different countries of the following organizations, via Twitter, where they have favorited and re-tweeted us. • Bill Koutalianos (Sydney, Australia) 1,330 • Sea Wild Earth (worldwide) 128,486 • Arik Ring Solar (Israel) 23,283 • EcoSolargy, Inc. (Irvine, CA) 1,708 • Pavegen Systems (London) 3,144 • Green Paper Products (OH) 9,430 • Dallas Art News (Dallas, TX) 53,538 • Jaime Soto Munoz (Santiago, Chile) 35,760 • Solar Energy 911 (147)

  4. $$$$$ ??? What the kids will do with the dough… What the school will do with the dough… While the kids are generally saving all their money for college, through our research, a few of them have become very interested in investing in their education and attending the Global Leadership Summit in Costa Rica to get more training on the “green jobs” solutions, (as seen on our video page of our website). We will build a research greenhouse outside our school, where our students can research our start-up hydroponics lab, and we can create our first composting site, in cooperation with our cafeteria.
